Technical Artist – New Open World Title (Unreal 5) – Remote

A South‑East based Games studio is looking to expand their art team to create a AAA quality, open world title. The studio is a 25‑person team early in development, giving you the opportunity to make a significant impact. This role is 100% remote and open to UK (preferred) or EU candidates with a maximum 2‑hour time difference to the UK. We do not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director to define the visual vision for the title.
  • Bridge the gap between artists and engineers, ensuring an efficient art pipeline.
  • Create tools and workflows that streamline processes, including materials and shaders.
  • Assist with pipeline issues and optimise the game for performance.
  • Work day‑to‑day with the art team, helping them meet the demands of a high‑selling game.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in the games industry.
  • Awareness of performance optimisation for a high‑end AAA title.
  • Experience with open‑world games (bonus).
  • Experience with Houdini (bonus).
  • Must have experience with Unreal 4 or Unreal 5.
