This role sits in Crewe, Cheshire and is eligible for hybrid working (3 days per week in the office).

Role

Technical Delivery Manager

You will lead software projects, shape solutions, bridge business and technical teams, and ensure successful delivery. The role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, business analysis, and stakeholder management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Business Analysis: Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate business requirements into clear technical solutions.
  • Project Management: Own the project lifecycle from planning and design through development, testing, and post-go-live support.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business units to elicit requirements, manage expectations, and provide regular progress updates.
  • Planning & Execution: Develop robust project plans, proactively manage risks, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Hands-On Involvement: Contribute to solution design, testing, user training, and documentation as needed.
  • Ownership & Support: Drive project success and provide ongoing business support for long-term value.
  • Technical Understanding: Develop knowledge of systems and technologies to support informed decision-making and problem resolution.

Qualifications

  • Essential Skills: Proven experience managing software development projects across full lifecycles.
  • Strong business analysis capabilities with expertise in gathering and documenting detailed requirements.
  • Budgeting, estimation, and financial monitoring skills.
  • Solid technical background enabling effective communication with development teams and stakeholders.
  • Clear and concise reporting of progress, risks, and issues to senior management.
  • Ability to break down large challenges into actionable deliverables.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as Prince2, MSP, ITIL, and task management tools like JIRA.
