Manual Test Engineer - Automotive Software Company

Location: Portsmouth, UK

Type: Full-Time | Mainly remote- 1 day per week in the office

Salary: Up to £65,000 + Benefits

We're on the lookout for a Manual Test Engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a sharp eye for detail. If you enjoy testing intuitive user interfaces, digging into frontend code, and validating APIs, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing:

Collaborating with developers and designers to test and validate UX/UI across web and mobile platforms.

Performing manual testing of frontend code to ensure functionality, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.

Designing and executing test cases for RESTful APIs, using tools like Postman.

Writing and running SQL queries to validate backend data and ensure data integrity.

Reporting bugs clearly and concisely, and working closely with the dev team to resolve issues.

Contributing to test plans and improving QA processes. What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in manual testing of web applications.

Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman.

Solid knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.

Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.
