Workplace & Team
A great place to work. At Apollo Vets, we are passionate about delivering the highest standard of care to our patients and exceptional service to their owners. We are now looking for an experienced and dedicated Head Veterinary Surgeon to join our dynamic team. We are a three-site practice with a family-friendly atmosphere. Our main site is in Black Notley (near Braintree). We also have a branch clinic in Maldon and Dunmow, with coverage across all three sites on a rota basis.
Facilities include digital radiography with dental and ultrasonography. The team includes 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 registered veterinary nurses, 2 student veterinary nurses, a veterinary care assistant, 6 reception team members, and a Practice Director who is also a registered veterinary nurse. We also have an exotic certificate holder, diagnostic imaging focus vets, and an anaesthetic certificate holder nurse.
Work-life balance
We are open to flexible arrangements: shorter hours, 5 days a week, longer hours 4 days a week, or part-time. Our rota patterns and hours are designed to flex with your lifestyle. Our main branch hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 7:00 pm; branch clinic hours are 8:30 am – 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday. You will also share 1:5 Saturday mornings 8:00 am – 1:00 pm, with no out-of-hours requirement at the main site in Black Notley, Braintree.
