Overview

Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal role at IVC Evidensia UK. Based at Chapelfield Vets in Norwich. Salary up to £75,000 DOE, Relocation Allowance up to £5,000 and Welcome Bonus up to £5,000.

Responsibilities

  • Work with dogs, cats, and small furries such as rabbits, guinea pigs, rodents, ferrets, and birds. There are plans to expand exotic services, with opportunities to develop your own interests.
  • Balance surgery and medicine with consultations; typical week includes consultations plus at least one dedicated surgical day. Procedures may include neutering, dentals, mass removals, laparotomies, orthopaedics, BOAS, and TECA. Most cases are managed in-house to ensure continuity of care for patients and clients.
  • Occasional opportunities to work across the wider team for additional variety.

Team and Environment

  • Part of a five-branch practice with 19 small animal vets, including certificate holders in dermatology, ophthalmology, and orthopaedics. Supports include 21 RVNs, four VCAs, and a dedicated reception team. Nurses run their own consults, post-op checks, wellness clinics, and you will be encouraged to develop areas of interest.

Flexibility and Schedule

  • Flexible working patterns to suit your lifestyle. Full-time rota up to 40 hours across four days with 1:4 Saturday mornings and no OOH. Part-time applications are warmly welcomed.
