About the Role

In this global logistics rapidly evolving world, IAG Cargo is always looking for new ways of working, go to market faster, and optimise customer experiences. The mission of the Digital team is to digitally transform and automate our business processes. As an Automation Specialist, you will play a key role in identifying, designing, and implementing automation solutions that streamline business processes and deliver measurable value. Working closely with business stakeholders and the Intelligent Automation Platform Owner, you will analyze current workflows, identify automation opportunities, and support the development and deployment of intelligent automation solutions across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with business units to understand and document current processes, pain points, and automation opportunities.
  • Conduct end‑to‑end business analysis to define requirements for automation use cases.
  • Design and document future‑state automated workflows using tools such as BPMN or process mapping software.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for automation developers.
  • Support the development, testing, and deployment of automation solutions (e.g., RPA, low‑code platforms, AI/ML integrations).
  • Monitor and measure the performance of deployed automations, ensuring continuous improvement and optimisation.
  • Maintain clear documentation and knowledge sharing for all automation initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
  • Contribute to the automation backlog and help prioritise initiatives based on business value and feasibility.
  • Stay up to date with trends in intelligent automation, process mining, and digital transformation.

It’s All About You

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere).
  • Experience with process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Visio).
  • Understanding of RPA, low‑code/no‑code platforms, and AI/ML concepts.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and functions.

Skills And Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or automation delivery.
  • Proven experience in identifying and implementing business process automation solutions.
  • Experience working in cross‑functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Exposure to logistics, supply chain, or operations environments is a plus.
