The Role
We're looking for a proactive London based Community Manager with a talent for event coordination and community building within the creative sector. This is a hands-on role where you will support the creation of a vibrant, engaged community for filmmakers, artists, and creative technologists, with a global focus. Working closely with the Head of Brand, you will assist in bringing our community vision to life, managing the day-to-day logistics and execution of our most important events and programmes. This position is perfect for someone who is ready to take on more responsibility in a growing company.
What You\'ll Do
- Platform Growth: You\'ll play a direct role in growing our user base and building a foundational community on the Wonder platform.
- Event Coordination and Support: Assist in the planning and execution of our community events, including hackathon and workshops.
- Fellowship Programme: Coordinate the logistics for our annual fellowship programme, from managing participant communication to helping run programme events.
- Partnership Support: Help manage relationships with key partners, including film schools and tech companies, assisting in the coordination of collaborative events and initiatives.
- Content and Communications: Work closely with our social media team to align event content with our brand voice. You\'ll also help manage our Substack newsletter and website blog, ensuring consistent communication with our community.
- Community Engagement: Manage the day-to-day interactions within our internal community platforms, helping to build and maintain a welcoming environment for all members.
- Feedback & Insights: Assist with gathering and organising community feedback to share with our product and creative teams.
Who You Are
You have 3-6 years of experience in community management or a related role and are eager to grow your skills in a fast-paced environment. You are a natural at connecting with people and are driven by a genuine interest in the creative industries.
- You are a great communicator, able to represent our brand clearly and professionally.
- You are highly organised and proactive, capable of managing multiple projects and seeing them through to completion.
- You are a self-starter who is comfortable with execution and operational tasks.
- You have a genuine interest in film, art, and the creative industries.
Bonus Points For
- Proven experience with event management platforms.
- Experience with community platforms like Circle or Discord.
- A background in media, entertainment, or a related creative industry.
- Prior experience managing event budgets.
