Family Law Solicitor – Co‑op Legal Services

Base salary range is £34,000–£59,000, dependent on experience. Locations include Manchester City Centre, Bristol, Stratford‑Upon‑Avon, or Sheffield, with hybrid working (home + one day a week in office).

Seniority level: Mid‑Senior.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a mixed caseload of family matters, negotiating actively for clients.
• Use the case management system to record information accurately.
• Meet individual and team chargeable time & profit cost targets.
• Draft and audit legal documents and correspondence.
• At senior or lead level, provide line‑management responsibilities, role‑model inclusive leadership, and mentor junior members.
• At lead level, delegate work, act as subject‑matter expert, and contribute to strategic positioning, marketing, and promotion of the department.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor (or CILEX qualified) with experience handling privately funded family law matters.
• Proven ability to meet chargeable and billing targets.
• Good general IT skills, including use of a case‑management system.
• Excellent relationship‑building, collaborative, and customer‑service skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Resilience and ability to embrace change.
