Family Law Solicitor

£34,000‑£59,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6A & Work level 5). Locations: Manchester City Centre, Bristol, Stratford‑Upon‑Avon or Sheffield – hybrid working between home and one day a week in the office. Due to continued growth of our Family Law team, we’re looking for solicitors across a variety of levels, from newly qualified up to Lead level.

What you’ll do

• Take ownership of a mixed caseload of family matters, active negotiation to get the best results for your clients.
• Use our case‑management system to ensure information is recorded accurately.
• Meet individual and team chargeable time and profit cost targets.
• Draft and audit legal documents and correspondence.
• If at senior or lead level, have line‑management responsibilities, role‑model inclusive leadership, and mentor junior members.
• If at lead level, delegate work throughout the team, act as a subject‑matter expert, and contribute to strategic positioning, marketing, and promotion of the department.

This role would suit people who have

• Qualified as a solicitor or CILEX qualified, with experience handling privately funded family law matters.
• Proven experience of working towards and meeting chargeable and billing targets.
• Good general IT skills including use of a case‑management system.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills, the ability to work collaboratively with all types of people, and provide excellent customer service.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Resilience with the ability to embrace change.
