Family Law Solicitor

£34,000-£59,000 dependant on experience plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6A & Work level 5).

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of a mixed caseload of family matters, undertaking active negotiation to secure best results for your clients; administrative and secretarial support will also be provided.
  • Use our case management system to ensure accurate recording of information.
  • Meet individual and team chargeable time and profit cost targets.
  • Draft and audit legal documents and correspondence.
  • At senior or lead level, take on line‑management responsibilities, role‑model inclusive leadership, and mentor junior team members.
  • At lead level, delegate work across the team, act as a subject‑matter expert, and contribute to strategic positioning, marketing, and promotion of the department.

This role would suit people who have

  • Qualified as solicitor or CILEX qualified, with experience in handling privately funded family law matters.
  • Proven experience of working towards and meeting chargeable and billing targets.
  • Good general IT skills, including use of a case management system.
  • Great relationship‑building skills, collaborative approach, and excellent customer service.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Resilience and ability to embrace change.
