Want a role where every day brings a new challenge? Join our client’s expert service team as a Field Service Engineer, taking your skills on the road to deliver precision calibration, commissioning, and repair for industrial weighing and measurement systems across the UK.
Working independently, you’ll be the on-site problem-solver who gets critical equipment running safely and accurately, keeping industries moving and customers happy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Calibrate, commission, and troubleshoot process weighing systems using specialist tools (F1/M1 test weights, flow meters, calibration rigs)
- Install and commission belt weighers and boiler leak detection systems
- Calibrate instruments for temperature, pressure, pH, conductivity, and magnet strength
- Perform off-site repairs of scales and balances at HQ
- Produce service reports and calibration certificates before leaving site
- Follow all HSE policies to ensure safe, compliant work
Occasional Extras
- Assembly and testing support at HQ
- Overnight travel across the UK when needed
What You’ll Bring
- ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC preferred)
- Proven field service or calibration experience—especially with process weighing equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay overnight as required
- Full UK driving licence
Nice-to-have
- Work in food hygiene environments
- Knowledge of silo, platform, and industrial control weighing systems
