Overview

HR Operations Manager role at Redkite Solicitors. Location: Cardiff (min 1 day per week), with regular travel to offices across South Wales and Gloucestershire. Type: Full Time, Permanent. Reporting to: Chief People & Culture Officer. Direct Reports: 12 HR colleagues.

What you will be doing

  • Lead HR operations, oversee the smooth delivery of core services, line-manage a small team, and guide complex employee relations with fairness and compliance.
  • Shape people policies, create clear, people-centred policies and processes that reflect our values while ensuring compliance with employment law and SRA standards.
  • Use data to analyse HR data, spot trends, risks, and opportunities, turning insight into actions that shape strategy and decision-making.
  • Drive culture and engagement, champion our values, lead wellbeing and engagement initiatives, and embed inclusive practices across all offices.
  • Support learning and growth, deliver impactful training on key people topics and partner with stakeholders to build capability across the firm.
  • Be a trusted partner, build strong relationships with leaders, influence decisions with insight, and sit on the Compliance Board to address people-related risks.

Who we’re looking for

  • A senior HR generalist, ideally from legal or professional services, confident handling complex ER and mentoring team members.
  • Someone who digs into data, spots trends, turns insight into action, and shapes strategy.
  • Analytical and solutions-focused, able to turn complex data into clear, people-first recommendations.
  • Passionate about creating an exceptional colleague experience and driving continuous improvement.
  • An excellent communicator and influencer who can build strong, trusted relationships at every level.
  • Tech-savvy, with the ability to use HR systems to simplify and streamline processes.
  • Values-driven, leading with kindness, empathy and a commitment to making Redkite a great place to work.
