My client, a US Law Firm with an ever increasing London presence, are looking for a proactive and experienced Human Resources Advisor to join their HR department on a permanent basis, in their fast‑paced London office, in a Generalist HR Team of 6 (larger including specialist HR functions).

Salary - £50k-£55k (depending on experience level).

As a Human Resources Advisor, you will work in a true HR Generalist capacity deliver a full HR service, as well as getting involved in variety of specialist HR duties and projects.

This role also offers great development opportunities and a clear path to both Senior HR Advisor & HR Manager.

Hybrid working - 3 days in office per week, 2 days from home.

  • Acting as a key point of contact for HR policy guidance, ensuring alignment with firm standards and best practice.
  • Providing guidance and hands‑on support across employee relations matters such as performance, conduct, grievance, redundancy and investigation cases.
  • Overseeing onboarding activities for new employees, ensuring smooth coordination with the HR Coordinators and a seamless start for all joiners.
  • Partnering with HR Coordinators to deliver timely probation reviews, ensuring any extensions or employment decisions are communicated appropriately.
  • Supporting immigration processes and ensuring all visa, right‑to‑work and sponsorship requirements are met in line with firm and legal obligations.
  • Taking part in ad hoc HR projects such as benchmarking, data analysis and change initiatives as required.
  • Supporting the Senior HR Manager with annual business services salary and bonus reviews.
  • Monitoring and advising on absence management, including sickness tracking, health referrals, return‑to‑work processes and related communications.
  • Reviewing and managing flexible working requests, balancing individual needs with operational priorities.

The Human Resources Advisor will have a strong understanding of employment law, and employee statutory rights. The right candidate will be commercially aware, have strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication and team working skills. The right candidate will be resilient, with the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and deadlines. They will also be confident, pro‑active with strong emotional intelligence.
