As an Intelligence Technical Officer in the Environment Agency’s National Environmental Crime Unit, you will build confidence and capability across area teams in intelligence‑led ways of working and the use of intelligence systems to understand Threat, Risk and Harm and drive a better approach to tackling environmental offending and protecting officer safety.This is a new role within the Intelligence and Partnerships team. You will support area teams by providing Memex training, promoting the use and benefits of Memex, and improving the quality of intelligence submitted.Responsibilities include providing face to face training to area staff on our Intelligence system, MEMEX, providing support and training to enable area teams to submit intelligence and conduct searches, supervising intelligence logs to ensure high standard of quality in submissions, creating entities from Memex submissions, providing regular reports on performance and feedback on ways to improve performance, and ensuring high standards of quality of intelligence submissions.
