Deputy Payroll Manager (6000+ person payroll) Maternity cover. 12 months.

Based SE London 3 days each week in the office

£42000-£47000 salary (max banding for role)

What You’ll Do

• Support the Payroll Manager and assist in managing 8 monthly payrolls for a large and varied workforce.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC and other statutory requirements.
• Oversee accurate and timely payroll processes with robust controls.
• Support and develop payroll assistants (team of 4).
• Collaborate with HR, finance, and other key stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

• Experienced Payroll Manager/Deputy or Payroll team leader
• Proven experience with large or complex payrolls (Employees of over 4000 with this company)
• Experienced in direct line management of staff (4+)
• Highly organised and solutions focused with high volume workloads.
