We work as one to achieve our vision of being the world’s most trusted, innovative, liquidity and data solutions specialist.**Role Overview:**As the Product Owner (PO) you will be responsible for helping to deliver on TP ICAP’s vision for its technology platforms. You will be the Agile team member primarily accountable for maximizing the value delivered by the feature teams, ensuring business alignment in the Team Backlog with customer needs.You will work closely in partnership with the Product Manager to ensure that product strategy and implementation remain connected throughout the Agile Release Train. You will support the development team alongside the Scrum Master and Business Analyst to deliver tangible value.**Role Responsibilities:*** *Connecting with the customer* – In close partnership with the Product Manager, you will apply a customer-centric mindset along with design thinking tools to guide the ART toward delivering solutions that are desirable, viable, feasible, and sustainable. You should be aware of your customer and stakeholder’s wants, needs and requirements, focusing on the key problems to solve.* *Contributing to the vision and roadmap* – Whilst Product Managers contemplate the solutions and experiences an ART should deliver, POs understand what the ART can practically deliver. They take a pragmatic approach to this by conducting market research and representing the end user when feeding into ART backlog prioritisation and PI planning to ensure that feasibility and desirability of solutions is considered.* *Managing and prioritising the team backlog* – The PO is primarily responsible for maintaining the content and the conceptual and technical integrity of the team backlog. Specifically, you will be responsible for guiding on the creation and sign off user stories and prioritising the backlog in line with customer and stakeholder needs.* *Supporting the team in delivering value* – You will provide daily insights that guide development toward the highest-value outputs and the team toward meeting sprint goals. Implicitly, you will support in balancing stakeholder perspectives, support the team to resolve questions or manage dependencies and be an active participant in team and ART level events.* *Getting and applying feedback* – The PO is critical in enabling the continuous feedback loops that fuel the Agile Release Train. You must seek quantitative and qualitative feedback to develop a comprehensive understanding of where solutions are and are not providing real value. You will do this by testing benefit hypotheses, gathering feedback directly from customers and stakeholders, sharing feedback wider within the ART and work with Product Manager in evolving the solution design as necessary.* *Product Design -* Create MVP specifications, user stories, workflow diagrams and other artefacts as required to help elicit customer requirements and communicate them effectively to your delivery team. Lead UAT to ensure your solutions deliver upon the agreed outcomes.* Help the development teams identify Stories which can be grouped to form minimum viable deliveries in order to support the identification in order to deploy regularly to production* Be responsible for capturing business needs in user stories and use cases and ensure that here is sufficient detail to allow scope definition, estimation and prioritisation* Support the team through help with defining scope and guiding estimation of work to be done by leveraging domain and business knowledge* Challenge the business on their assumptions of what they need to uncover what their problems actually are so that development will be equipped to propose more efficient or effective solutions, or at a minimum ensure deliveries are addressing root cause issues* Be a liaison between the business units, technology and support teams**Experience / Competences:****Essential:*** Strong experience as product owner / product manager or technical business analyst for Post Trade systems* Experience working in Agile environments with a strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and the Product lifecycle.* Ability to deliver complex products for customers in a fast-paced environment.* Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.* Experience translating a strategic vision and roadmap into a tangible team backlog.* An understanding of the prioritisation process for backlog items and how to support a development team in delivering value aligned to the business’ release cycle.**Desired:*** Ability to set and deliver on outcome-focused goals, using Objectives and Key results (OKRs) as a goal setting metric.* Experience working within financial services previously, particularly within trading, broking, or liquidity solutions.* Relevant experience in a customer facing or technology role* Experience working with technology teams to implement change* Previous experience with Jira, Confluence* Understanding of financial markets protocols – CLOB, RFQ, APIs, Streaming**Job Band & Level*** Manager / 7#LI-Hybrid #LI-MID**Company Statement**We know that the best innovation happens when diverse people with different perspectives and skills work together in an inclusive atmosphere.
