Join AXA – Global Healthcare as a Senior Business Development Manager to shape growth within the SME market. You’ll build strong relationships, support the existing AGH portfolio, and identify new business opportunities to drive expansion. This role shares global responsibility for managing the SME and Individual Intermediary sales channels, delivering tailored healthcare solutions for clients worldwide.

AXA offers a flexible approach to work, with at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home activities include office locations, client visits, or industry events.

What you’ll be doing

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the intermediary channel for SME.
  • Support and grow the existing AGH SME portfolio through relationship management and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and strengthen intermediary relationships, increasing their understanding of the AGH proposition.
  • Provide regular updates on service improvements and collaborate with intermediaries to enhance their experience.
  • Source, onboard, and develop new intermediaries to expand the portfolio.
  • Support the Business Development team through coaching, upskilling, and joint initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Account Management team to ensure timely renewal of existing AGH business.
  • Collaborate with local partners and cross-functional teams globally to develop multi-tier relationships and secure portfolio growth.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven track record in business development with consistent achievement of targets.
  • Strong understanding of the international health market, particularly the Intermediated sector, and awareness of competitors.
  • Excellent relationship and account management skills to grow existing client relationships professionally.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working effectively independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong negotiation, influencing, and collaboration skills across global teams.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills, including delivering presentations to diverse audiences at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; adaptable to learning new systems; willing to travel internationally and within the UK as required.
