About our Department: The SITS Systems Manager sits within the Quality and Registry team and is the administration hub for students. It covers governance, student administration, marking and assessment, processing results and issuing certificates for graduation. The SITS system manages all student records and is a crucial part of Arden’s growth and student experience.

About the Opportunity

As our SITS Systems Manager, you will manage and inspire a team of Registry-based SITS Systems Officers, System Analysts, and Business Analysts involved in developing the University’s Student Record System. Your responsibilities include:

  • Support and implement strategic management of the SITS Student Record System (SRS), including environment management and systems administration.
  • Work with the SITS Development Team to provide technical leadership for deployments, upgrades, updates, and releases.
  • Collaborate with the Test Manager to ensure upgrades are tested, assessed for impact, and implemented effectively.
  • Lead on developing solutions and process changes in SITS and linked systems, including changes to the curriculum model.
  • Partner with operational teams to identify and deliver solutions, process improvements, and system enhancements within SITS and related systems.
  • Maintain oversight of SITS usage across functional areas and help prioritise and deliver developments and improvements.
  • Keep up to date with SITS functionality, updates, and sector best practice to assess potential impact.
  • Produce and maintain operational systems documentation and oversee user training materials.
  • Provide expert SITS knowledge to troubleshoot issues and deliver responsive user support.
  • Take accountability for effective environment management of the SRS.

Qualifications

Essential requirements:

  • In-depth experience with Tribal SITS, including SRL Syntax, Tasking, and Vistas for SITS/e:Vision development.
  • Technical knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON/XML, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience in Higher Education and understanding of the full Student Lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Agile or similar methodologies.
  • Advanced project and change management expertise.
  • Proven leadership and line management capability, including coaching and staff development.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong delegation and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Commitment to knowledge-sharing, continuous learning, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Ability to understand and support bespoke applications and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience producing technical documentation, training materials, and user guides.
