Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the department to ensure work is delivered within the budget and timeframes set.
  • Recruiting and developing a skilled and dedicated team who deliver a quality service to clients.
  • Designing and implementing planning processes to ensure department schedules meet customer needs and statutory deadlines.
  • Reviewing team files to ensure all standards, quality, and compliance requirements are met and issues identified.
  • Facilitating communications between the team and directors to ensure important information is received and acted upon.
  • Giving feedback on the quality and standard of work produced and highlighting areas for development.
  • Developing technical knowledge and utilising it to complete more bespoke client work and to develop colleagues.
  • Building strong relationships with Directors, team members, and clients to facilitate the completion of work to deadline.
  • Ensuring the correct client documentation is secured in a timely and efficient manner so deadlines can be met.
  • Attending external events and client meetings to develop your own client network and contacts.
  • Developing and communicating business plans, opportunities, and ideas for improvement to Directors to ensure the continued growth and progression of the department.

Key Requirements

  • CR – CPI or ACCA/ACA A&A – ACA/ACCA Tax - ATT desirable but not mandatory.
