Overview

This is a Tech Lead role for a permanent, hybrid position based in Edinburgh. You will guide a cross-functional squad through a period of transformation, taking full ownership of delivery, quality, and reliability. You’ll partner closely with Product and Design to shape roadmaps, ensure technical excellence, and deliver scalable, user-focused solutions.

What you’ll do

• Lead system design, architecture, and technical strategy
• Drive adoption of CI/CD, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices
• Partner with Product & Design on delivery, balancing speed, quality, and user needs
• Mentor engineers and set engineering standards across squads
• Ensure squads own the full lifecycle: planning, delivery, quality, and support

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years in software engineering, with leadership in cross-functional squads
• Proven success driving transformations (CI/CD, automation, empowered teams)
• Strong background in Java, TypeScript, AWS, distributed systems & SaaS
• Excellent communicator, confident in shaping roadmaps with Product & Design
