Overview
Role Profile: We are looking for an experienced Technical Team Lead who is passionate about engineering excellence and effective team leadership. In this role, you will lead a high-performing software development team, drive technical innovation, ensure best practices, and foster a collaborative work environment. You will contribute through hands-on development and mentoring engineers to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
Tech Profile / Essential Skills
- Professional qualification or equivalent.
- 12+ years’ experience in Microsoft .NET framework with minimum 2+ years in a leadership or mentorship role.
- Proven ability to lead development teams to build mission-critical applications, with hands-on debugging and optimization expertise.
- Strong mentoring skills to guide engineering teams while applying robust debugging techniques to ensure performance and reliability in enterprise systems.
- Combines leadership with technical proficiency, diagnosing and resolving complex system issues to maintain high-quality software delivery.
- Working experience and expertise in ASP.NET Services.
- Memory issues debugging and optimization.
- Performance profiling and optimization.
- Working experience in distributed web-services.
- Scalability, durability, availability, caching, fault-tolerance.
- Expert in design patterns.
- Experience in test-driven development.
- People management experience.
- Experience leading/mentoring teams by providing technical and application perspectives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Some experience of business and technical analysis, quality assurance, delivery management, and/or emerging technology and governance.
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Relational DB and SQL query profiling and optimization experience (able to write queries on federated data models).
- Experience with Azure technologies.
- Experience with Agile Release methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance on architecture, design, coding standards, and best practices to ensure high-quality software solutions.
- People Management: Mentor, coach, and support software engineers, fostering professional growth and skill development.
- Hands-on Development: Participate in coding, debugging, and optimization for high performance and scalability.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with product managers, business analysts and other technical teams to align development with business goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote innovation, improve processes, and nurture a culture of learning within the engineering team.
- Performance Optimization: Conduct advanced performance profiling and tuning for optimal application efficiency.
- Debugging & Troubleshooting: Analyze complex issues, debug critical errors, and resolve defects with precision.
- Code Quality & Best Practices: Implement industry-leading coding standards, maintain high code quality, and conduct peer reviews.
- Technology Exploration: Stay up to date with advancements and recommend innovative solutions to enhance capabilities.

- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of technologies and provides subject-matter expertise on design, development, and implementation.
- Advances tools and applications by performing expert code reviews when required.
- Supervises a team and coordinates work, promoting an inclusive and open culture.
- Develops knowledge in software development and understands links to other domains.
- Builds understanding of strategy and culture and how they impact work.
- Oversees design work and planning for user stories to achieve objectives.
- Contributes to the creation of Epics and associated implementation tasks.
- Adapts existing patterns to develop robust solutions.
- Develops understanding of LSEG's commercial direction and how technology supports it.
- Delivers assigned tasks with guidance and oversight.
- Builds trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicates complex information clearly.
- Takes initiative in learning and development of technology products for self and the team.
Compensation / Benefits
LSEG is committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $110,600 - $184,400. Base salary ranges may vary by location. Eligible for the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). Benefits include health care, retirement planning, paid time off, and other offerings as detailed in the benefits program.
