Job Title UX Designer Reports to: Head of Product Design Direct Reports: 0 Location: UK based only Company Overview Kooth is a fast-growing digital mental health platform for young people aged 10-25, listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE:KOO). Working in partnership with the NHS, we provide welcoming and effective digital mental health support. Responsibilities
Conduct and analyze qualitative and quantitative user research to uncover user needs, behaviors, and pain points; translate insights into actionable design requirements, personas, and user journey maps. Design intuitive, visually appealing, accessible interfaces that align with the Kooth brand identity and usability best practice; develop wireframes, mockups, and high‑fidelity designs that communicate interaction flows. Build and iterate interactive prototypes, conduct usability testing, gather user feedback, and analyze results to inform design refinements. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align design solutions with squad goals, technical feasibility, and business objectives; present and explain design decisions clearly. Advocate for user‑centered thinking across squads to ensure solutions meet real user needs.
Qualifications
Strong UX design fundamentals. Experience in user research and interaction/visual design. Proficiency with Figma (mandatory). Understanding of tools such as Jira or Shortcut. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in cross‑functional teams within a tech organization. Experience in healthcare is a plus. Degree in Design or equivalent experience.
