We are looking for Graduates for our Building Specialists teams, who have a flexible approach and an appetite to learn in a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory services consultancy. You will work in a collaborative environment with a diverse range of clients and projects.

What you will be doing

As a Graduate in one of our Building Specialists teams, you will work on exciting and innovative projects and contribute to delivering best-in-class service in a complex design and compliance environment. You will be embedded in multidisciplinary teams, mentored by experienced professionals, and receive guidance as you develop your skills.

Projects – You will help deliver prestigious assignments such as:

  • Monklands Replacement Hospital, Scotland
  • Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle
  • New Riverside Stand, Fulham FC
  • Control Posts, Heathrow Airport
  • Mayfield Republic

Our Building Specialist Teams Include

  • Fire Engineering – Involves developing the overall fire strategy, designing fire protection systems, means of escape, smoke control, sprinkler systems, and ensuring compliance with Building Regulations Part B.
  • Digital Services – Leads BIM implementation, information management and visualisation; supports digital transformation and BIM coordination across disciplines.
  • Façade Engineering – Design of building envelopes, glazing and façade systems; collaboration with architects, developers and contractors.
  • Energy Solutions – Heat networks development, evaluation, engineering and supervision of construction; opportunities to develop tools and pursue chartered status.

Day-to-day activities could include

  • Producing fire strategy reports, writing technical design notes, and marking up drawings for fire strategy plans.
  • Supporting BIM and digital delivery activities, coordinating models and ensuring standards compliance (e.g., ISO19650).
  • Assisting in preparation of engineering calculations, design details and site inspections for façades projects.
  • Attending design team meetings and site visits; collaborating with other disciplines.
  • Assisting with bids and proposals for digital and façade projects, as applicable.

Our two-year Graduate Development programme is designed to support personal and professional development through blended learning, core business and professional skills training, mentoring for professional registration and on-the-job experience.

Enrolment in a professional institution’s training agreement will guide you toward chartered or incorporated status.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate

  • You have graduated with at least a 2:2 in a master's or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction management or related field.
  • Complete the application form in full and pass the online skill enabler assessment as part of the recruitment process.
  • Available to start in April or September 2026.
  • Passion for Building Specialists services and awareness of building systems (including lighting and security).
  • Interest in digital engineering and BIM and willingness to learn BIM coordination and digital project delivery.
  • Understanding of engineering or construction design processes and curiosity about new technologies.
  • Desire to learn, develop and contribute new ideas.
  • A readiness to join a supportive, collaborative team and share ideas.
