Cyber Security Trainee Placement Programme

The programme helps place graduates into top UK companies and organisations needing entry-level IT and Cybersecurity staff who can hit the ground running with up-to-date skills from the programme. Fully accredited training with tutor support and mentoring provides the skills, practical knowledge and qualifications to secure a professional job in IT. The package is flexible and can be completed in a few weeks or a few months (step 1 to 4).

Whether you are working full time, part time or unemployed, this programme is designed to fit your schedule. It includes a Job Guarantee and various training steps leading to IT Technician and cybersecurity roles.

What you will do / How it works

1. Step 1 - Accredited Online Training: Complete professional, accredited CompTIA courses delivered online with multimedia videos, practice labs, presentations and quizzes. You will have an expert tutor and support mentor.
2. Step 2 - Practical Training: Use practice labs to gain hands-on experience and build proficiency for your first IT role.
3. Step 3 - Official exams: Sit the CompTIA A+ and Network+ exams to obtain recognised certifications.
4. Step 4 - IT Technician placement: Secure your first IT Technician role. After gaining experience, you may move into cybersecurity with additional training (including optional courses like Certified Ethical Hacker and Certified Network Defender) and the CompTIA Security+ exam.

Cybersecurity role: After completing mandatory training and gaining two+ years in IT, you can move into higher-paying cybersecurity roles. Recruitment support is provided. Typical starting salaries for these roles are around £35K.

Qualifications / Requirements

No previous IT experience is required. The programme includes fully accredited training with tutor support and mentoring, aiming to prepare you for entry-level IT and cybersecurity roles.
