Overview

This role is an opportunity to drive our Geospatial development across the organisation, enabling colleagues to deliver our environmental ambitions. We are seeking an experienced GIS strategic thinker with a proven record of effective delivery. The ideal candidate will combine a strong drive to modernise with a passion for improving the environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the GIS Manager and Senior Team Leader as one of two technical leads for the team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Environment Agency, DEFRA and external partners to evolve Geospatial Services.
  • Coordinate delivery with service leads to ensure a joined-up, modern suite of corporate geospatial services.
  • Deliver and maintain enterprise geospatial services using tools such as Easimap, in-house GIS view and query tool, ArcGIS Pro, EAMaps, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online (AGOL).
  • Ensure access management and support for geospatial tools.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience of delivering Enterprise Geospatial Services.
  • Evidence of ability to set a strategic direction and coordinate tactical delivery.
  • The ability to work with a wide range of customers and partners.
  • Experience of working with ESRI products.
