Job Description

We are looking for a flexible part‑time role with a values‑based organisation that places the people we support at the heart of everything we do. As a Bank Advocate you will bring a passion for community impact and thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Independent Advocate Requirements

  • Strong communication and time‑management skills to work remotely
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and the ability to learn client‑management database software
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of records and reporting to meet tight deadlines

Desirable

  • Previous experience in advocacy, information and advice, or a similar role within health, social care, or the voluntary sector
  • Demonstrable experience working with vulnerable adults
  • Working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations

Benefits & Conditions

Home‑based with travel around the Birmingham area; applicants should live in the Birmingham area, have a full driver’s licence and access to their own transport. Commutes outside the specified borough are covered within our mileage rate according to policy. We may also consider applications from outside the posted location.

Successful applicants will need to obtain business insurance for their own vehicle. An Enhanced DBS check and National Offender Management Service vetting will be conducted for this position.
